Fire and Ice [Pansy/Ron]

[Pansy Parkinson]

Pansy made her way onto the Hogwarts Express, taking a seat in the last available compartment. She placed her luggage in the overhead space and sat down, glancing out the window at the families. She noticed her mother and father, not bothering to even offer the smallest wave. She sighed, feeling slightly bored. She glanced down at her nails, which were painted a midnight black coloring. The ends were chipped off, but she'd forgotten to ask for a last-minute manicure. She shrugged her shoulders lazily, pursing her bow-shaped lips together.

She was feeling nervous, which was not something accurate for her. Pansy Parkinson never, ever got nervous. Not in a million years, not in a billion years. She shook her head, banishing the thoughts of even the slightest feeling of being nervous. She stared out the window, becoming lost in other thoughts of her beginning year of Hogwarts.

[Ron Weasley]

Ron rushes onto the train, which he almost missed.
"Don't make a habit of this!" his mother cried angrily behind him. Ron rolled his eyes and began to search for an empty room. He sees kid sitting together, joking. He almost went to sit with his brothers Fred and George, but they closed the door in his face. Finally, he stumbles into the last car. He sees Pansy.
"Um, can I sit in here...?" he asks awkwardly.

Pansy glanced up at the boy who had red hair, blue eyes, and freckles. She raised a brow at the ginger in front of her. He vaguely reminded her of an elf, causing her to smirk slightly.

"Sure," she finally responded after she was done inspecting him. She turned her attention back out the window as the train started to move.

[Ron Weasley]

Ron smiles slightly. He looks at her before sitting down. She was pretty. He sat down on the opposite side of the car.
"So, uh, um, what's your name?"

[Pansy Parkinson]

"Pansy," The brunette said, not bothering to look back at him. She marvelled at the surrounding trees, then looked back at the red-haired boy sitting across from her.

"And you, what's your name?" She questioned, staring him straight in the eye.

[Ron Weasley]

"Ron," he said, making eye contact. "You're a first year, right? Because I'm a first year. But I have a lot of older brothers. Five in fact. And a younger sister, but she's not a student here yet. But as for my brothers? They've all been here before. And they told me all about Hogwarts and. Um. Yeah." He cuts himself off, realizing that he had been rambling.

"Yeah, I am." Pansy replied, noticing he talked very fast, which made it slightly hard to follow. She blinked, an unsure, slightly confused, expression formed on her face.

"I'm an only child." She commented, not removing her eye contact with his.

[Ron Weasley]

Ron felt his face get hot. He tried to keep eye contact with her. He wanted at least ONE friend at this school.
"Oh. That's cool. Must have been lonely at your house," he replied awkwardly.

Pansy leaned forward and toached his face, wondering if it was as hot as it looked. It felt warm, she pulled back, and smiled slightly at him. It faded, and she looked away for a moment, then back at him.

"Not really, my mum's at our home most of the day," She shrugged her shoulders, looking out at the blue sky.

[Ron Weasley]

Ron kept a calm exterior, but on the inside, he was thinking, "OHMYGOD WHATTHEHELLWASTHAT ASAGDFKLHASDGF SHE TOUCHED ME ADBFADHFL SHE'S PRETTY AND SHE TOUCHED MY FACE."
He tried to look nonchalant and said, "That's cool. Same here, my mom is usually home."

[Pansy Parkinson]

"We have a cat too," Pansy murmered in a relaxed tone, wondering when they'd arrive at Hogwarts. She looked over at the rather large woman who was shouting 'Anything from the trolley?!' As the lady came closer to them, she formed a kind smile on her frail face. 'Anything from the trolley dears?'

The brunette shook her head absentmindedly, and turned to Ron. "You want anything?"

[Ron Weasley]

Ron smiles shyly.
"I have a rat. And an owl. But it's not really my owl, it's my brother's. But I can still use it." He mentally slaps himself in the forehead for rambling again. He looks at the trolley lady and says, "Two chocolate frogs, please."

[Pansy Parkinson]

The lady handed him his order, then slowly crept away.

Pansy smiled softly at him, tilting her head to the side just slightly. "You never told me your name, what is it?" she asked.

[Ron Weasley]

Ron smiles.
"Ron," he replies. "What, um, house do you wanna be in?" He tries to make conversation.

[Pansy Parkinson]

"Cool," Pansy said with a nod. She let her eyes roam outside the window, and thought about his question for a moment.

"Slytherin, probably," she decided, "What house do you want to be in?"

[Ron Weasley]

Rom shrugs.
"I'll probably get put in Gryffindor. My whole family's been there. I dunno if I wanna go there," he replies.

[Pansy Parkinson]

"Interesting," Pansy stated, watching him curiously. "Why not?" She questioned, raising her eyebrows just a bit.

She looked down then back up at him. "I think it'd be nice if we were in the same house."

[Ron Weasley]

Ron shrugs. "I always had to live in my brother's shadows. I figure that if I get into a different house then them, my parents and everyone will notice me."
He grins at her. "That would be awesome," he says, getting up and sitting next to her.

[Pansy Parkinson]

Pansy cocked an eyebrow slightly as the boy sat beside her. "That's a good reason, I suppose." She smiled slightly at him.

"I'm most likely to suceed more if I'm in Slytherin, though I'd probably succeed in whichever I'm in." She looked down at her shoes, biting her bottom lip tenderly.

[Ron Weasley]

Rom shrugs and relaxes a little, sitting back into the chair.
"I'm sure you will. I don't think I'd fit in anywhere."

[Pansy Parkinson]

"Of course you do," Pansy explained, pursing her lips together in a straight line. She moved a few lockes of brunette hair off her face and tucked them behind her ear with a quiet sigh.

[Ron Weasley]

Ron looks at her, then back to the floor.
"I guess," he says, then chuckles quietly.

[Pansy Parkinson]

Pansy looked at his blue eyes which were planted on the ground. "So are you a pureblood?" She asked, raising her eyebrows in question.

[Ron Weasley]

Ron leaves his eyes on the ground, very aware that her eyes are on his.
"Yeah, my family's been pureblood for quite a few generations. What about yours?"

[Pansy Parkinson]

"Of course," Pansy replied with a slight smirk. The smirk faded as she glanced out the window, with a soft sigh. She looked back at him, and tilted her head to the side ever-so-slightly, inspecting his features.
